Let us make religious persecution cease in China. Let us stop the carnage of hundreds of thousands of Chinese people who are the victim of mass arrests, torture, killing, explantation of organs from those sentenced to death.
Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Falun Gong, Hindus – all persecuted with cruelty and violence, are not allowed to practice their religion without being at risk to lose their lives. Even when they seek refuge into other lands, the Chinese government bears a strong pressure to get them back into their country, then they make them disappear. A group of organizations who stand for human rights have started an international petition, in the form of an open letter to the President of the Chinese Republic, to stop the persecution of Chinese citizens who are only guilty of having their own beliefs and practicing their own religion. This petition is also addressing the governments of ‘civil countries’ who are often deaf and blind so as to refuse shelter requests on the part of the Chinese refugees who are so forced to go back to their homeland (with their lives eventually at stake).
This petition will be followed by other actions aimed at bringing the Chinese government to the respect of freedom of belief and religion.
